14th annual Tejas Triathlon will host up to 800 triathletes for an awesome sprint distance race with a 600 yard swim, 12 mile flat and fast bike, and a shaded 3 mile run.

RACE LOCATION & COURSE
The race will be at Pecan Park in the New Territory sub-division of Sugar Land, Texas, near the intersection of Hwy 99 and Hwy 90. The man-made lake in New Territory is an ideal setting for novice triathletes as well as experienced veterans. The water temperature will be very warm-well above the 78 degree cut-off for wetsuits. The bike course is flat but windy and leads into a 3 mile shaded loop that ends underneath 100 year-old pecan trees. Race Maps are available, Here.

COMPUTER CHIP TIMING & RESULTS
We will have computer chip timing with all split times, including transitions. OCCASIONALLY A SPLIT IS MISSED due to a misread or improper chip placement on the ankle. We apologize in advance if this occurs.
Everyone will have to use the chip provided-you can't use your own chip!! Timing fees are included in race registration fees. Complete results will be posted at http://www.eztoregister.com and www.out-loud.org as soon as possible after the race.
We recommend the Hilton Garden Inn is that is very close to race site. While we do not have a block room rate, they offer a $99.00 room rate on Saturday night. Click below for further information.
Awards will be given out to the overall Male and Female and overall Master's Male and Female. Age group awards will go 3 deep. Age groups will begin at 19 & under and go in 5 year increments through 75+. There will be Clydesdale (men over 220 lbs.), Clydesdale Masters, and Athena (women over 165 lbs.) weight division awards at 3 deep. Relay awards will go 3 deep in men's, women's, and co-ed categories.
Sponsors will include Bicycle World of Houston, Third Coast Training, Tri on the Run, MuscleMilk, Gatorade, Kona Printing, & The Athlete Stop.
PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT
Three charities will be the recipients of the proceeds from this event, along with volunteering on the course.
- Ordinary Saints - coordinates the placement of college and post-college leaders with service organizations world wide.
- Cenikor is a drug and alcohol recovery program based in Houston area.
- Girl Scouts of Texas - Several New Territory sub-division Girl Scout Troops will be coordinating the aid stations on the run and will receive charity donations.
