The 17th Annual Oil Man Texas Triathlon is the premier Long Distance Triathlon in southeast Texas. Our field limit will be 900 participants.
Margaritaville Lake Resort on Lake Conroe 1 hour north of Houston, in Montgomery, TX.

This is mandatory. You must purchase a one day license or an annual license for each participant, including ALL relay members! USAT membership is now part of the registration process. You can purchase a one day, annual, renew your current membership or upgrade via our registration site.
There is an option to purchase RACE INSURANCE when you are paying for your registration. If you purchase insurance you will see a separate charge on your credit card for the insurance and you will receive an email from Allianz Global Assistance with details on your coverage.

The USA Triathlon guidelines will determine if wet suits will be allowed for official timing purposes. USAT officials will measure the water temperature the day before the race. PLEASE DON'T EMAIL OR CALL ASKING FOR WATER TEMP OR IF WET SUITS WILL BE ALLOWED. WE WON'T KNOW UNTIL NOVEMBER 1st.
FYI, wetsuits HAVE been allowed all 16 years of our race!
Aid stations will be available on the bike (3 water bottle hand ups) and on each mile of the run. Stations will be provided at swim entry and exit points. Water, Gatorade, and energy gels will be at run aid stations. A medical team will be on hand along with an ambulance throughout the day.
Packet pick-up is available on two days:

12pm - 6 pm. There will be a race expo with vendors in the packet pickup area.
Each team member is REQUIRED to pick up their own packet. You do NOT have to come together, but each person MUST come with Driver's License and USAT membership information.
NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP OR REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE. Please make arrangements to come on these days. USA Triathlon requires that each contestant pick up their own packet with photo id and be an annual or one day member of USAT!

Each participant will be given a disposable chip strap for professional timing. Chips must be worn on the left ankle and participants must cross the timing mats for accurate results. Live race day results will be posted here and can also be found at runhoustontiming.net after the event.
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female and overall Master's Male and Female. Age group awards go 3 deep, utilizing USAT 5 year age group divisions. There will be Clydesdale (men over 220 lbs) and Athena (women over 165 lbs) divisions. Awards will go 3 deep in these categories and 3 deep in relay categories. Aqua bike divisions go three deep in Females and three deep in Males. Everyone will receive a custom finisher medal at the finish line!
