Frost Yer Fanny Duathlon
As of noon Monday, February 22nd, the online sign up for the
Frost Yer Fanny Duathlon is now closed! We still have plenty
of room but you will have to sign up at one of the 2 packet pickups-either
Thursday at Bicycle World & Fitness (West U. location) from noon to 6 pm OR
Saturday at the host hotel off I-10 from 11 am to 6 pm. ONLY CASH OR CHECK
FOR REGISTRATIONS AND USAT MEMBERSHIPS. No credit cards accepted!!
Come enter the South Midwest Regional Frost Your Fanny Duathlon in
Houston, Texas located at Bear Creek Park in west Houston!! This 3 mile run,
15 mile bike, 3 mile run is an awesome addition to the duathlon events in
the greater Houston area. This duathlon is co-produced by Outloud!
Productions and Bicycle World & Fitness, and sponsored by the South Mid West
Region of USA Triathlon.
Frost Yer Fanny serves as the Regional Duathlon
Championship for 2010 and will be the high point duathlon for the year!!
RACE LOCATION & COURSE
Frost Your Fanny will take place at Bear Creek Pioneers Park, located off
Bear Creek Drive between Clay Road and Patterson Road. The start and finish
will be at Pavilion #6. The start time for the race is at 7:30 am!
REGISTRATION
Entry fees and categories are listed below: Individuals $45 thru
January 27th, $55 after that. $60 week of event! Relays $60 thru January
27th, $70 after that. $80 week of event! Youth (age 17 and below) $25
thru January 27th, $35 after that. Please note that relay prices are per
team not per person!!!
USAT MEMBERSHIP
USAT membership is a separate registration-if not an annual member, you
will sign up for a one day membership at packet pickup. The one day
membership is now $10 and is only available at packet pickup.
USAT SOUTHMIDWEST AWARDS BANQUET
Sign up for the annual awards banquet scheduled for Saturday night,

The schedule for the evening is as follows:
5 - 6 PM Membership Social with Cash Bar 6 -
8 PM USAT SMW Awards Banquet.
This is an exciting event where the top multi-sport athletes in the South
Midwest Region for USAT will be recognized based on Regional Rankings. Cost
for the banquet is $20.
PACKET PICKUP & EXPO
As part of the South Midwest Regional USAT Meeting, we will have a large
expo on Saturday, February 27th which will include packet pickup from 11 am
to 6 pm at the host hotel and meeting location-the new Embassy Suites at
Kirkwood, off I-10 West. An additional Packet Pickup will be Thursday,
February 25th from Noon-6 PM, Bicycle World & Fitness, 2519 Rice Blvd,
Houston, 77005, 713-529-0140. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR
PACKET PICKUP. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR OWN PACKET.
AWARDS
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, overall
master's male and females, and the top 3 in each age group and relay
categories. These awards, as always, include plaques and product prizes.
Other door prizes will be raffled off by random race numbers during the
awards ceremony!
HOST HOTEL
The host hotel and conference setting is the brand, new Embassy Suites
Hotel, located off I-10 at the Kirkwood exit, 11730 Katy Freeway, Houston,
Texas 77079. Their phone number is 281-531-7300. The group rate is $99
and ask for the USA Triathlon SouthMidwest Region group. All Saturday
meetings, including the Expo and Packet Pickup, will be held at this hotel.
POST RACE PARTY
Bicycle World and Fitness will again be sponsoring an awesome post race
party with great food and drinks, fantastic give-aways, and super awards!
We'll have some great music playing and have a good time under the pavilion!
TIMING
This will be a computer chip timed event that will include splits for
run/transition/bike/transition/run. Chips will be picked up on race morning.
